Substantial payday for young online poker player

21-year-old Fedor Holz, aka CrownUpGuy, took down "theNERDguy" in heads-up play at the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP).

The Austrian poker player bested a field of 2 142 players in the $5 200 Main event, that created a prize pool of $10 710 000 prize pool, to win the top prize of $1.3 million.

Other notable players included Victor "Isildur1" Blom who placed ninth for $107 100.

"I always wanted to run deep in such a tournament and it feels amazing to win the biggest tournament of the year," Holz told PokerStars Blog. "It's my biggest achievement so far and I can't put in words how happy I am."
